About

Psalm 90:10 states, "The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years yet is their strength labor and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.”

70 years, with some living to 80. This biblical verse describes what was considered a normal life span during the time of its writing. Even with a longer lifespan, the point here is life is fleeting; our time on earth is finite. Although some interpret this scripture as a promise of a specific lifespan, the aim of the verse is to remind us of the brevity of our time on earth.

Lost in our day-to-day living is a sincere appreciation for not only everything around us, but also the opportunity we are blessed with to grow, prosper and have a positive impact on the world and those we interact with. Until you look, you don't realize how little you really know about the world. You can find natural beauty, amazing examples of human achievement and wonderful people everywhere, but only if you look. This is also true with respect to leaving your mark on the world. There are opportunities out there to not only grow professionally and personally but also make a difference in the lives of other people, if you are willing to look.

50 Things To Do In A Lifetime is intended to motivate the reader to take a look. I have created a list of things in different categories that will allow one to hopefully make the most of the “threescore and ten” by committing to continuous personal growth and development, seeing the wonders of the world, having amazing experiences, and most importantly, giving all honor and glory to God for making it possible. The book explores opportunities in the areas of Travel; Life Experiences; Professional Growth; Health; and Personal Growth and Fulfillment. I’m not an expert in the various categories, rather I offer one man’s perspective on what to explore in an effort to make life more fulfilling. Not everyone will be able to do everything on the list, and that’s okay. This is a list, not the list; you may have one of your own.

This is just a place to start.
